In a conversation with TMZ on Thursday (May 2), Offset’s lawyer, Drew Findling, said the felony warrant that was issued after the rapper allegedly cracked a fan’s phone screen, is “disgraceful and should be dismissed immediately.” Findling also referred to the fact that the accuser, 18-year-old Junior Gibbons, waited four days to file a report against Offset as being evidence that his claims are bogus.
“[This] so-called victim, instead took to social media for an extended 15 minutes of fame,” Findling explained.
Findling, who’s also represented Gucci Mane in the past, says Offset was “simply trying to buy some items for his youngest child” at the Target at the time the fan attempted to take a picture of him. Despite reports that stated cops investigated the incident, Findling says there’s no investigation or evidence to prove that Offset was the one who caused the cracks on Gibbons’ phone.
